This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps Man and Van Soho has taken, and is committed to taking, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to uphold the highest ethical standards and to act with integrity in all areas of our business, including the sourcing of goods and services that support our man and van operations.

Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy

Man and Van Soho maintains a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, debt bondage, child labour and exploitation. We will not knowingly engage with or support any business, organisation, or individual involved in such practices. We expect the same commitment from everyone we work with, including employees, contractors, agency workers, and suppliers.

All commercial decisions are guided by our commitment to lawful, fair, and ethical conduct. Where any risk of modern slavery is identified, we will take prompt action, which may include suspending or terminating relationships, reporting concerns to relevant authorities, and cooperating fully with any investigation.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Man and Van Soho provides local and regional transport and relocation services, including residential and commercial removals, storage-related logistics and associated support services. Our supply chains include, but are not limited to, vehicle leasing and maintenance providers, fuel and equipment suppliers, packaging and materials suppliers, facilities and cleaning services, and labour agencies that may provide temporary or specialist staff.

We recognise that certain parts of these supply chains may carry higher risks of labour exploitation. As a result, we are focused on ensuring that our due diligence processes are robust and proportionate to the risks identified.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We expect all suppliers and partners to share our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery and to operate in accordance with all applicable labour, employment and human rights laws. As part of our supplier onboarding and ongoing management processes, we may conduct checks and request information regarding their policies, workforce practices and compliance measures.

Where appropriate, Man and Van Soho will implement supplier audits and assessments aimed at identifying potential risks of modern slavery. These audits may include reviewing documentation, conducting site visits where practicable, and engaging in direct dialogue with management about labour practices. If we identify indicators of non-compliance or risk, we will work with the supplier to develop corrective actions and clear timeframes. Failure to demonstrate adequate progress may result in the termination of the business relationship.

Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing

Man and Van Soho is committed to creating an environment where concerns about modern slavery can be raised safely and without fear of retaliation. All employees, contractors, agency workers, and business partners are encouraged to report any suspicion of modern slavery, unethical conduct, or human rights abuses in our operations or supply chains.

Concerns may be raised directly with line management or senior management, or through any established internal escalation channels. All reports will be treated seriously, handled sensitively, and investigated promptly and impartially. Where appropriate, we will escalate matters to external authorities or specialist organisations. We will take disciplinary action where misconduct is proven and will support individuals who raise genuine concerns in good faith.

Training and Awareness

We recognise that effective prevention of modern slavery relies on awareness and understanding. Man and Van Soho is committed to providing suitable training and guidance so that staff can recognise signs of exploitation, understand our policies, and know how to report concerns. Training needs are reviewed periodically to reflect emerging risks, legal developments, and changes in our operating model or supply chains.

Continuous Improvement and Annual Review

Man and Van Soho acknowledges that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing process that requires continuous vigilance and improvement. We will review this Modern Slavery Statement at least once every twelve months, or more frequently if required by law or significant changes in our business activities or supply chains.

As part of the annual review, we will assess the effectiveness of our policies, supplier audits, training, and reporting mechanisms. We will consider feedback from staff, suppliers and other stakeholders, and we will update our approach as needed to enhance our ability to prevent, detect and address modern slavery. This statement reflects our current position and our continuing commitment to upholding human rights and ethical practices throughout Man and Van Soho.
